DECS Childcare offers healthy meals to all enrolled children as part of our participation in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The CACFP provides reimbursements for healthy meals and snacks served to children enrolled in child care.

When your child qualifies for free and reduce lunch, it help the school receive additional money to provide a better more healthy option for breakfast, snacks, and lunch. We are able to purchase more fresh fruits and vegetable and offer a larger variety of foods.

The participation in the food program allows us to keep our tuition rates down and eliminate all food fees for the Georgia PreK program.

About the CACFP Program...

CACFP provides aid  to child and adult care institutions and family or group day care homes for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children, and the health and wellness of older adults and chronically impaired disabled persons.

Through CACFP, more than 3.3 million children and 120,000 adults receive nutritious meals and snacks each day as part of the day care they receive.
